Join the James River Association (JRA) team for our second Marsh Stewards Site Inspection Training! This training session will equip volunteers with the knowledge and skills needed to assist JRA in monitoring the health and performance of local living shoreline projects.
Living shorelines are a natural and effective way to protect our precious tidal areas. During this training, you’ll learn about the benefits of living shorelines and walk through the process of conducting a site inspection. We’ll cover what to look for in terms of maintenance needs and overall project success. This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved in hands-on conservation and contribute to the long-term health of the James River watershed.
This training will take place at Phoebus Park in Hampton. More detailed information about the training, including specific meeting locations and what to bring, will be sent to all registered participants closer to the event date.
Who should attend: Anyone interested in learning about living shorelines and contributing to their long-term success through volunteer monitoring. No prior experience is necessary!
