Riparian Stewards Volunteer Event

Our Riparian Stewards are the frontline of defense for the James River. At this event, we will be working directly within a young streamside forest to ensure these native trees thrive.
Activities typically include:
- Managing invasive species that compete with native seedlings.
- Adjusting tree shelters and stakes to support growth.
- Monitoring the health of the buffer to track our restoration progress.

To ensure the health of our restoration sites and the safety of our team, this event is open only to those who have completed our Virtual Riparian Steward Training.
